Ofsted Report   (click here to download the full report)

Cherry Garden was inspected by Ofsted in July 2018. Having been 'Good' at our last inspection in February 2015, we received a shorter, one day inspection. Ofsted judged that our school continues to be good. We are very proud of the highly positive comments from the inspector, and the ongoing improvements that were identified in the report.

"Pupils enjoy school and chat excitedly about their learning."

"Good teaching helps most pupils to make strong progress to achieve the
standards expected for their age."

"You know your pupils well and pastoral support is strong."

"Good teaching ensures that disadvantaged pupils’ progress is strong."

"You have taken highly effective action to improve the teaching of phonics. As a result, 90% of current pupils

achieved the expected standards in the Year 1 phonics check."

"The proportion of pupils achieving expected standards at the end of key stages 1 and 2 has increased over the last three years."
