Pupil Premium Strategy
The Government introduced the Pupil Premium Grant in April 2011 as a way of addressing inequalities in performance between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers. Schools are responsible for deciding how the Pupil Premium Grant will be spent as they are best placed to make such decisions based on their specific knowledge of the pupils in their care.
Schools are required to report on their strategy for 'diminishing the difference' between the achievement of pupil who qualify for the pupil premium and those who do not. This includes how the school spends the pupil premium and the impact this is having.
